Medusa knew it was folly to dream of a life outside Athena’s temple. It was madness to have covered up her sisters’ unspeakable crimes. Wicked to allow herself to think of the handsome Perseus, who offered her an escape from it all. She knew the goddess would be furious if she found out, but she had no idea the punishment would be so severe. Broken, cursed, exiled… Medusa begins to experiment with frightening new powers.

Across the seas, Athena has heard whispers of a growing evil. An evil that she was responsible for unleashing upon the world. The gorgon Medusa has to be stopped.

Immortal ambition collides with mortal emotion as divine Athena stalks her trophy. But cities will fall and hearts will turn to stone before Medusa surrenders. Only fate will decide who will emerge victorious from the mess of blood, stone and tears left in the wake of the Gorgoneion.
